Introduction
Every subject has its own specialized characteristic. This kind of characteristic can also be seen in History subject. Below are the characteristics:
- History is closely related to the past. Past time contains the happening which only happened once in life. Consequently, History is the instruction of historical happening/events and society development happened meanwhile the main point of history is the recent products/happenings which are accessed from the existing source of history. By those cases above, History is expected to be taught more comprehensively, critically, and based on the genuine facts not on the individual records or certain interests.
- History is chronologic. In this case, history is taught based on the chronological order of a historical happening/event.
- There are 3 important things in learning history; human, space and time. In this case, history is expected to record the history doers, events, places as well as time.
- History is a causal-effect. In term of facts arranging, one fact is set to be related to one another.
- History is simply a historical happening /society development related to the entire aspects of life such as politics, economics, social, culture, religion, belief. On the reason that learning history urges a multidimensional approach, those aspects of life are essential to develop the subject material.

- Development of knowledge, science and technology in the 20th century.
